Welome to AVP India

We conducts workshop with six sessions fully loaded with the series of activities and exercises based on different life skills like Affirmation, communication, co-operation, Trust Building, Community Building and Conflict Resolution. The workshop used the shared experience of participants, interactive exercises, games and role-plays to examine the ways in which we respond to situations where injustice, prejudice, frustration and anger can lead to aggressive behaviour and violence. The three day workshop’s focussed on the skills to enhance relationships and develop communication skills.

Through Alternatives to Violence workshop, participants gets chance to:

  • Improve listening skills
  • Build self-esteem and respect for others;
  • Discover options for problem solving;
  • Build community and foster cooperation;
  • manage strong feelings such as anger and fear
  • deal more effectively with risk and danger
  • build good relationships with other people
  • communicate well in difficult situations
  • recognise the skills you already have and learn new ones
  • be true to yourself while respecting other people
  • understand why conflict happens gain insights on anger and motives
Our Fundamental Objectives
(a) To encourage individuals to take responsibility for themselves and the consequences of their behaviour
(b) To serve as one another’s community, and
(c) To find options other than fight or flight when faced with conflict.
